Swings, Snowdrops and Sandstone Scribbling

Snowdrops welcome us to the woods
Spring was in the air today at Forest School. There is still time for frosty weather but today we were greeted with blue skies and sunshine. At the entrance to the woods we spotted our first snowdrops of the year.

The children were keen to pick up where they left off in the last session, by revisiting den and swing building. The children are becoming more experienced at choosing trees that are suitable for building swings and dens on. They check the branches for signs of fungi and rot and check the around the base of the trees for sharp rocks, brambles and grass.
