Session 15 - Parents to Forest School Day

Thank you so much to the parents who braved the snowy conditions to join us at Forest School today. This term, we have been focusing of on safely laying and building fires suitable for cooking over.

Mr. A kindly demonstrated his fire building skills and Mrs. A whittled a stick for marshmallow toasting. They shared with us their memories of cooking over a fire on warm evenings in Pakistan.

Together we prepared a campfire snack of potato, cauliflower and paneer cheese.

J said that she really enjoyed having her mum and dad at Forest School today.

N's parents were also able to pop in to witness what happens at Forest School (and will be joining us again tomorrow - Mrs. K is keen to test out the fire steels). S invited a friend from Class 6 along.

It was fantastic being able to watch the children share their Forest School skills with friends and family and I felt very proud of what they have achieved so far.

    1. The families were really good sports as it was absolutely freezing. They are looking forward to joining us again for a barbeque in the summer term.
