The new children in Holly Group have been having fun exploring the woodland. There are still lots of streams running through the wood following the recent floods. Some of the children decided they were part of a rescue team tasked with saving the city from flooding. Enlisting the help of Mrs McTell, they set about moving rocks and sticks to stem the flow of water running down the hill. They were suitably impressed with their efforts and were rewarded with a warming cup of chocolate.
Others in the group chose to use the magnifying glasses and trowels to hunt for woodland treasure on the forest floor and the binoculars to spot birds resting in the canopy above.
